Job Details
Job Title: 3D CAD Technician/Modeler
Location: Huntsville, AL
Overview: IMMEDIATE NEED for a 3D CAD Technician/Modeler
with 5+ years of exp working w/ a high-end CAD
package, Catia V5 or NX4 (or higher) preferred.
The ideal candidate will be someone that worked
in an ISO 9001-2001 or AS9100 mfg system. The
focus of this position will be to produce
accurate 3D models & fully-dimensioned 2D
blueprints for use in programming and fixture
creation.
Responsibilities:
? Create 3D models from 2D prints;
? Creates or provides drawings, specs & req'd
docs in conjunction with Eng, Production, QA &
Assembly to produce or procure tools, fixtures
and gauges;
? Evaluate customer-provided models for
integrity;
? Participate in the PLM approval process,
representing the Mfg Eng group
Education/
Experience: ? Bachelors degree in Engineering
(manufacturing or design) or an Associates/
technical degree with five (5) years minimum of
practical CAD experience.
? Ability to interface with Estimating and
Engineering, providing CAD-related services as
required.
? Clear knowledge and understanding of
engineering drawings, standards and
specifications, especially geometric tolerancing
and dimensioning (GD&T)
? Must be very proficient with a modern CAD
package. Catia V5 or NX4 (minimum) preferred.
