For our Energy Sector in Erlangen we are looking for a Product Manager for Power Capacitors at the earliest opportunity. Within the activities of this job, you shall be responsible for the Product-Lifecycle-Management for Power Capacitors and you shall be the competent person for the technical calculation and configuration of capacitor banks, which find application in HVDC and FACTS systems.
What are my responsibilities?
- Responsibility for the Product Management for Power Capacitors
- Tasks include the coordination for the specifications and requirements with our Marketing, Sales and Engineering departments and with our capacitor manufacturing plant in Brazil
- With regard to the configuration of High Voltage Capacitor banks you shall seek for optimizations, cost-reducing possibilities, calculation models
- Specialist for technical clarifications in front of customers inside and outside of Siemens AG
- Identification for the product (Power Capacitors) and for the System (Capacitor bank)
- The responsible project manager act for new Research and Development projects in close coordination with external and internal partners, as well as with our experts in our manufacturing facility in Brazil
- Pursuance the corresponding Product Standard as well as the technical product quality
- Representation our department in front of external Test labs and Universities
Requirements:
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- University degree as electrical engineer and should have long working experience in areas Associated to Electrical Engineering with focus on Power Transmission or Distribution
- Knowledge in the area of HVDC and FACTS is a desired and additional qualification
- Solid knowledge in the areas of High Voltage Energy Transmission, especially in areas like Insulation coordination and/or Protection Schemes for HV Substations
- Intermediate knowledge of mechanical engineering
- Basic knowledge of economics and business administration
- CAE - knowledge (AUTOCAD or similar) is an additional qualification
- Business fluent in German and English
- Knowledge of either Portuguese or Spanish is an additional qualification
- Experiences in Project Management, as well as leadership and intercultural skills are desirable
- Communication skills – Team player – Analytics – Decisions making – Result and quality orientation – Organization skills
