OVERVIEW:
Over the past five years, Blue Castle has brought together 160 of the most talented minds in the industry, shipped three titles (The BIGS, MLB Front Office Manager and The BIGS 2 all published by 2K Sports) and is about to ship Capcom’s Dead Rising 2. We are on the hunt for a Build Engineer or Computer Science new grad to work on an exciting new Action project. This is your opportunity to break into the video game industry and work on something extremely cool.
A Build Engineer works with the development team under the direction of the Technical Director. You are responsible for specific tasks including development and maintenance of the build pipelines and workflow, ensuring the game is building and functioning throughout the development cycle, and deploying network and media versions on all platforms. You’re an important part of a game team where you will work with, learn from and be mentored by more experienced engineers.
This position is all about demonstrating that you’re a smart, capable and well-organized programmer with strong communication skills and a great work ethic. A successful development cycle as Build Engineer sets you up for new engineering roles on the next game.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintain the code and content build pipelines. * Monitor build reliability, partnering with other engineers and artists to trouble-shoot and resolve breaks. * Ensure availability of functional network and media builds to production and Quality Assurance teams. * Participate in estimating and planning within your project area.
REQUIREMENTS:
* A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering * School project and/or co-op experience with C++ programming and debugging * An interest in working in the video game industry on an Action-related project * Excellent problem solving and analytical skills * Team player with a positive attitude * Able to communicate with both technical and creative team members face-to-face and in writing * Genuine desire to create a quality online experience and innovate in online gaming.

Currently in development is the AAA Action project, Dead Rising 2, which will be published by Capcom and an unannounced Action project.
