Position Description
We are pleased to announce that we have an opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join us in a critical role.
The headline deliverable of the role is to project manage the rollout of a new claims management front end system along with its interfaces, integral scanning and document management components to our European offices.
The programme is large and complex and there is a multiregional team, based in the US, and in the UK. There are a number of workstreams across the programme, and a new team is to be developed.
The Senior Business Analyst will analyse exiting systems and databases and perform Gap analysis activity to enable transition to the Target systems platform. There will also be a migration of the Claims function from the existing systems into the new application. This will also require leading and coordinating deliverables with teams in our stateside office and as third part vendor, and resource who work in an offshore capacity.
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst who has good Commercial Insurance Knowledge, but specifically has experience of large Claims transformation projects and the delivery of new Claim Systems.
We are keen to meet Analysts who have worked on large complex programmes with multiple workstreams, and are flexible and comfortable with supporting and working across workstreams and teams to ensure that requirements are met and delivered to a high standard.
Responsibilities
.Gather systems and process requirements, analyse to understand and minimize unnecessary variation, document to allow business partners prioritise and verify requirements, ensure complete and accurate.
.Channel business input to solution design and validate against business objectives, provide input to cost benefit analysis and business case definition.
.Ensure solutions are consistent with operational and technology best practice in Europe.
.Manage the signoff of requirements with the business.
.Coordinate and lead business reviews of process and system solution design, development and test phases, including formal review and approvals if necessary
.Prepare and execute business implementation plans including training, user testing and change control management
.Build effective working relationships with business partners and across the project team at all levels to aid effective collaboration and communication
.Ensure changes to requirements are formalised through Change Control via project manager, agreed at the appropriate sign-off level and adhere to Systems controls and company audit procedures.
.Prepare, plan and estimate, coordinate and execute project / phase related activities across multiple project streams
.Become subject matter expert in business processes and working practice, and work to actively grow understanding for same within project delivery teams
Position Requirements
Skills / Competencies Required:
.Excellent communication skills required, being responsive, clear and concise.
.Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
.Good working knowledge of Commercial General Insurance
.High levels of enthusiasm, commitment, and energy required
.Knowledge of European languages would be an advantage
.Strong team ethic, promote team spirit and motivate / lead as and when necessary to ensure good project outcomes.
.Must be flexible to travel within Europe as and when required (limited duration)
.Good working knowledge of MS Office required, including MS Visio
.SQL Skills to be able to query databases.
.Strong planning and coordinating skills.
.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
.Able to use MS Project
.Understanding of project management methods
