General SupervisorGeneral Supervisor-FOR00221 Description This position has been designated for the Learjet Business Aircraft Service Center. Oversee the performance of all unplanned maintenance work packages for assigned aircraft and ensure adherence to planned versus actual hours and Repair Station Manual. Principle Duties *Adhere to General Work Requirements *Perform supervisory responsibilities for assigned employees and area(s), for example, PMP and 30/60 day reviews, opportunities for professional development and training, personnel decisions concerning hire, fire, disciplinary issues, and salary adjustments, and employee schedules and leave *Supervise the performance of maintenance and service work packages for assigned aircraft *Manage rlabor hours per work package to minimize actual hours exceeding planned hours Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities *Working knowledge of SAP maintenance transactions *Working knowledge of Repair Station Manual and procedures *Working knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety rules and regulations as they apply to workplace safety and environmental aspects of aircraft maintenance operations *Working knowledge of aircraft electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, components, and parts and applicable aircraft maintenance procedures *Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance inspection programs for business jet aircraft *Working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, for example, part 91, 121, 135, and 145 *Planning and organizational skills necessary to plan, prioritize, and coordinate workload of assigned employees within a multiple project setting *Verbal and written communication skills *Training skills necessary to provide employee training *Computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, project, email, and web-based applications Qualifications Minimum Required Qualifications *Typically 6 years experience in performing aircraft heavy/line maintenance, which must include 2 year of supervisory or lead experience *FAA Airframe and Powerplant licenses or Repairman Certificate *Working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, for example, part 91, 121, 135, and 145 *Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, all levels of management team, and other departments *Understand, read, and write English Job:Supervisor Primary Location:US-FL-Fort Lauderdale 33315 Zip Code US Organization:Aerospace Schedule:Full-time Employee Status:Regular Job Posting:04.02.2013, 9:31:20 AM
