Regional Business Leader - 3M ESPE - Upper Northwestern Region

Title: Regional Business Leader - 3M ESPE - Upper Northwestern Region
Location: California-San Francisco
3M ESPE is currently seeking candidates for a Regional Business Leader role who will integrate multiple business objectives across a diverse selling organization as well as lead growth initiatives in local dental markets. This position will be based in the This position will be based in Northwestern California and will be responsible for the Northern & Central CA, Oregon and Nevada. This will involve up to 50% travel into associated Region. Responsibilities include the following:
* Meet or exceed Division Sales objectives for each business by identifying significant market/account opportunities
* Develop a Regional Business plan that encompasses all assigned businesses and aligns Division expectations down to the local level
* Utilize sales data, market analysis, resources and tools to identify the areas of greatest opportunity
* Understand key drivers in each business then align, motivate and hold sales team accountable to execute against them
* Create local expectations that align with Regional objectives and deliver against Division expectations
* Understand synergies between businesses and leverage sales teams where appropriate
* Own and leverage the Channel Relationships at the branch and field level
* Develop and successfully execute local Channel programs using joint strategies to accomplish business objectives
* Conduct financial reviews with Channel to maximize channel growth including detailed analysis of their results and subsequently developing a plan moving forward
* Recruit, hire and retain the best sales professionals
* Develop and coach sales team (individuals) to maximize their potential and provide support and feedback that stretches and accelerates their development. Work through Performance Management plans
* Leverage relationships with the following:
Dental, Hygiene and Asst. Schools, DSOs, Large Group Practices, Government, Military and Opinion Leaders
*
Continuously analyze region, specifically focusing on business goals and objectives; expertly guide reps to personally set appropriate expectations and continually analyze region for optimal coverage
* Actively participates in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures and acts in a manner consistent with 3M''s values and ethical standards
Basic/Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor''s degree is required
* Minimum of 3 years combined dental industry experience in Sales, National Accounts, Key Accounts, Marketing, and/or Sales Management.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Distribution
* Demonstrated success at managing teams and building relationships
* Have successfully developed and maintained strong relationships with Channel Partners or Trading Partners
* Have successfully resolved issues and conflicts associated with a distribution-model sales structure (peers, channel/trading partners)
* Have a firm understanding of the key segments that influence your business and developed plans that address these at a local level
* Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and achieved consistent results in a Team environment
* Proven analytical skills
* Proven management and/or coaching skills
