The Flight Controls Verification and Validation department has an Software Test Engineer position available in Phoenix, AZ (Deer Valley facility). Duties for this position are to include development and execution of software verification tests. Candidate will develop a broad understanding of a technically complex product and associated development processes while interfacing with various system and software engineers across multiple aircraft systems. Good written and verbal communication skills are required to interface with peers, third party suppliers, and global resources. Basic Qualifications: * A Bachelor of Science degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering * Minimum of 2 years' experience in software engineering * Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident due to export control requirements
Additional Qualifications: * Candidate should be comfortable using Windows based development tools * Experience using Mathworks Matlab and Simulink tools is highly desirable * Training and/or experience with software languages including C/C is highly desirable * Aviation experience with aircraft, avionics, or control systems is desired * Ability to work in a self-directed and virtual environment required * Strong problem solving skills required * Skilled in the English Language (both verbal and written )
