Mechanical Inspector / Menlo Park, CA
Should have extensive experience in the precision mechanical inspection of machined parts. Must have a through working knowledge in the use of conventional inspection tools, i.e. surface plates, height gages, micrometers, and optical comparators. Should have the ability to sue specialized measuring devices including ZYGO-Laser Surface Analyzer, Taylor Hobson-Surface Profilometer, and video scopes. Must have knowledge in the sue and application of CMMs in the measurement of machined parts. Proficiency in the sue of QUINDOS and/or PC-DMIS CMM application software and with the use of CA-Models to develop part measurement programs is desired. Must be able to accurately measure parts with tolerances as tight as .0001 inc. Must be able to read and analyze part drawings and have working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing as defined by the ANSI Y 14.5 standard. Must have excellent shop math skills including a working knowledge of trigonometry. Should be familiar with common machine tool practices and have good computer skills including the use of MS Word and Excel.
