L-3 STRATIS is looking for a Strategic Planner (Subject Matter Expert - Senior) to support a team of professionals responsible for Air Force National Capital Region (AFNCR) Information Technology support to the US Air Force at the Pentagon, multiple sites in Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the DC region. *** Contingent upon Contract award ***
Functional Responsibility:
Develop a Strategic Plan for the AFNCR and HAF communications and computer networks to document the current infrastructure, architecture, network diagrams, and drawings and include proposed long-term changes to the plan. Individual will ensure these documents conform to the directives and plans described in Air Force-level planning documents and ensure these documents incorporate the decisions and policies established by the governing AFNCR IT planning boards. Individual will work with the Government to develop, prepare, and/or update plans and/or reports as required to ensure compliance with the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996, Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, Government Performance and Results Act of 1993, and appropriate DoD and Air Force strategic plans.
Specific Requirements:
* Top Secret/SCI clearance
* 8 years experience in a related area, with experience in at least one of the following:
* Strategic Communications Planning at the COCOM or Major Command level or above
* Strategic Communications Planning with DISA, HAF, or a major DoD function
* Documented experience/understanding of the 844thCG, and/or the AFNCR IT infrastructure or a related service within the NCR, US Army or Navy
* Ability to work with and communicate clearly with senior military and civilian personnel
* MS degree or an additional 6 years of relevant experience
· Travel across NCR is required
Desired Qualifications:
· Prior experience developing plans adhering to the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996, Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, and Government Performance and Results Act of 1993
· Demonstrated ability to work in a high paced environment
· Ability to speak clearly and work in a variety of environments; comfortable working with senior military and civilian personnel
