The Aerospace IT BI Build Team member will facilitate and execute the business intelligence delivery efforts for Honeywell Aerospace across multiple functions and tools. The BI team member provides tool/analytic design, setup, and development as needed to effectively implement & retrofit Aerospace IT solutions. This will include support for existing SAP sites, SAP deployments and Enterprise legacy systems using SAP ECC, HANA, Business Objects and data warehouse solutions.
Responsibilities include: * Developing and deploying standard BI solutions across Aerospace; ensuring ''best in class'' processes are implemented; supporting implementation teams in their solution validation efforts; and ensuring one common process model is deployed across Aerospace * The Aerospace IT Build Team member acts as a project team member and generally aids the project teams in whatever tasks are necessary to ensure that the AERO system addresses approved business requirements on time to project milestones * Writes design documents, Functional Specifications and Training documents * Provides assistance in the review and refinement of business requirements, and assessment of solution feasibility * Design and develop standard reports, dashboards, ad hoc solutions and interactive business intelligence tools to meet business requirements * Provides guidance of security setup for new analytics * Acts as the technical owner of the IT solutions; serving as technical expert crafting and sourcing optimal business solutions bringing new ideas, opportunities, and literacy to enable long term success * Defines and designs new, complex or enterprise critical systems and modification including the execution of detailed requirements, solutioning/design, construction, acceptance testing coordination, implementation, and change management (training) * Multi-tasking and working in a virtual work environment * Coordinate with offshore development team on BI tool development * Deliver user training for Business Objects and other business intelligence tools * Translate functional spec requirements into ETL (Extract, Transform, Load for data) spec requirements for ETL and Data Architecture teams * Coordinate with ETL and Data Architecture teams on cross application development tickets
Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field * Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience with Development experience with Business Objects 4.x (Web Intelligence, dashboards, Analysis, Explorer, Mobile, Data Services), SAP ECC, SAP HANA and data warehousing tools * US Citizenship or Permanent Residency due to SAP restrictions
Additional Qualifications: * Excellent English communication skills, written and spoken * MS or MBA desirable * Strong SAP functional knowledge * Experience with working with business users and translating requirements into IT systems functional and technical specifications * Commitment to high ethical standards, equality and diversity * Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with all levels of external and internal customers * Six Sigma Plus experience; Green Belt or higher certification a strong plus
