ITT Aerospace/ Communications Division (A/CD) Our Thousand Oaks, CA Global Navigation Satellite Systems organization is focused on producing high precision, high accuracy military and civilian GPS receivers for the Control and user Equipment segments. The Staff Engineer - Systems will be responsible for all phases of the systems engineering product development process including software/subsystem requirements definition, performance analysis, functional partition, and leading high level design efforts. Maintains technical competence and state-of-the-art expertise in areas of technical specialization. May be assigned the engineering responsibility for a project. Requirements: Equivalent Educational Requirements: BS, with MS or Ph.D. preferred, in engineering or other scientific field. Experience Required: Eight to twelve years engineering experience. Preferred experience with GPS based satellite communications a plus with specific areas of focus desired in Signal Processing, Code/Carrier Tracking Loops or Navigation Filters. Knowledge Required: Understanding of hardware/software interaction and integration. Strong debugging and analysis skills desired. Knowledge of Systems Requirements Definition/Analysis, Trade studies, MATLAB Analysis and overall system design concepts. Great interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
